Lotto Double Rollover Jackpot Tonight!
Updated: Friday 17th July 2015
Lotto fans will be able to play for a double rollover jackpot tonight, with the top prize having an official estimated value of around £7.4 million. If that isn’t enough to get pulses racing, the midweek Lotto Raffle draw this evening is also extra special, because it will create one guaranteed winner of £1 million in addition to the 50 usual prizes of £20,000 each. Every ticket purchased for the Wednesday Lotto game will therefore give its owner not one but two chances of becoming a millionaire by morning!
Someone who experienced that exact kind of financial transformation last night is the EuroMillions player in the UK who matched the Millionaire Maker code CWN616621 and won £1 million. There was over £15.4 million up for grabs in the main EuroMillions game, but no ticket was able to match all seven numbers, and so the jackpot rolled over for the second time in a row. The main numbers drawn on Tuesday 19 May were 26, 30, 31, 35 and 37, and the Lucky Star numbers were 08 and 11.
Four tickets succeeded in matching all five main numbers plus one of the Lucky Stars to win €243,341 each at the second tier, and we quote that prize in euros because none of the tickets concerned had been purchased in the UK. Six other tickets – one of which had been bought by a player in this country – won £41,664 each by matching five main numbers only.
There were 22 tickets that matched four of the main numbers and both of the Lucky Stars to win their owners £5,681 each, and more than 1.35 million tickets won smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers. The total amount of cash won by players in the UK, excluding the £1 million landed by the Millionaire Maker winner, was in excess of £2.28 million.
We congratulate everyone who won a lottery prize of any kind last night, and we now look forward to seeing how everyone fares in this evening’s midweek Lotto game. With a double rollover jackpot of around £7.4 million up for grabs, plenty of players will be setting out to improve their odds of winning by purchasing multiple tickets. Those of you who would like to play one or more of the most overdue numbers should be considering the numbers 16, 13, 12, 08, 26 and 02, whilst the most common Lotto numbers at the time of writing are 23, 40, 44, 38, 30 and 33.
