Lotto Creates Fifth Jackpot Winner of April

Lotto Creates Fifth Jackpot Winner of April

The Lotto game created its fifth jackpot winner of the month thus far on Saturday, which isn’t bad at all when you consider that April is barely a week old. The latest success earned one ticket–holder a fortune worth £4,217,690, which is even more than the £3.8 million everyone had been expecting, so spring has definitely sprung for the lucky player involved. The Lotto numbers that made it happen on Saturday 6 April were 11, 21, 22, 41, 47 and 48, and the Bonus Ball was 36.

Saturday was the first day of the new tax year in the UK, but fortunately all lottery winnings are tax-free, so the Chancellor won’t be seeing a penny extra from players just yet. It isn’t only the jackpot winner who will be glad about that because more than 415,000 prizes were won in total in the Lotto game, and players collectively landed a whopping £12 million!

13 of those players matched five main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball to win a second-tier prize of £99,826 each, whilst 288 players won £2,816 each by matching five main numbers only. All other winners landed prizes of either £95 or £10 each by matching four or three of the numbers drawn, and the jackpot in the next Lotto game this Wednesday 10 April will be worth around £2 million.

The day before April’s fifth Lotto jackpot winner was created two tickets that had been bought in Belgium took down the top prize in the EuroMillions game. The EuroMillions results on Friday 5 April were 01, 11, 17, 32 and 39, and the Lucky Stars were 02 and 07. The jackpot was worth £22,536,828, so the Belgian winners now have just over £11 million each to get acquainted with.

Four tickets matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win £298,639 each, and two of those tickets were purchased by players in the UK. 11 tickets matched five main numbers only to win £36,198 each and the total number of EuroMillions prizes won on Friday night was 2,910,025. We should also mention the fact that one UK player won a fairly useful prize of £1 million by matching the number KJJ108316 in the Millionaire Raffle game.

Last, but by no means least, three tickets landed a top prize of £100,000 each by matching all five numbers drawn in the Health Lottery game on Saturday. Those numbers were 06, 25, 27, 30 and 41, and more than 5,000 tickets matched four or three numbers to win a consolation prize of £250 or £20 each.

Lottery fans certainly had plenty to celebrate over the last few days, and we can now get excited about the next round of big-money action in the week ahead. The EuroMillions game will offer a brand new jackpot of around £12 million this Tuesday 9 April, so visit this page to play the game online and the next jackpot winner just might be you!
