Lotto Bonus Ball Bonanza

Lotto Bonus Ball Bonanza
Updated: Wednesday 9th April 2014

The midweek Lotto jackpot rolled over on Wednesday, but there was still plenty to celebrate thanks to three second-tier winners landing big money in a Bonus Ball bonanza. The Lotto results for Wednesday 13 March were 06, 08, 21, 23, 41 and 46, and three tickets matched five of those numbers, along with the Bonus Ball number 05 to win £220,741 each. That’s a heck of a lot of cash to win in any game, so well done to the lucky trio who managed it! As for everyone else, the Lotto jackpot this Saturday will be worth around £6.1 million!

There were 254,273 prize winners in total in the Wednesday Lotto game. 207 tickets matched five main numbers only to secure a third-tier prize of £1,999 each, 12,163 tickets won £74 each by matching four main numbers and the lowest prize of £10 went to each of 241,900 tickets that matched three main numbers. Add up all of the cash won by those players and it amounts to £4,395,078, which is pretty good considering the jackpot itself escaped unscathed.

Over in Ireland, the Irish Lotto results for Wednesday 13 March were 02, 11, 14, 25, 30 and 34, and the Bonus Ball number was 27. One ticket matched all six main numbers to win the jackpot, which was worth €3,016,645, and another ticket won a second-tier prize of €25,000 by matching five main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball. 42 tickets matched five main numbers only to win €1,166 each, and there were 29,875 winners at the lower prize levels. The next Irish Lotto jackpot this Saturday will be worth a guaranteed €2 million.

Although most of you take the sensible approach to lottery games by playing online, we know that a few people still buy their tickets from offline retailers. We would therefore like to remind those offline players that many lottery prizes are going unclaimed simply because the winners involved aren’t checking their tickets promptly. On Sunday 10 March, for example, a Millionaire Raffle prize of £1,000,000 went unclaimed because the winner – who had bought the ticket in the London Borough of Newham – hadn’t come forward within 180 days.

Our advice to all lottery players is to check your numbers as soon as each draw has taken place and to make any claim required as promptly as possible. Even better, you can reduce the risk of missing out to an absolute minimum by purchasing your lottery tickets online.

Visit this page to enter your numbers online for the upcoming Lotto and Irish Lotto games this Saturday, and also for the EuroMillions game on Friday, which boasts a brand new jackpot of around £13 million. If you win you’ll be notified automatically by email so that you can start making the most of your prize without delay, so enjoy the games and good luck!
