Lottery Winners Come Forward

Lottery Winners Come Forward

On Tuesday we brought you news that several large National Lottery prizes had expired worthless in December due to the winners failing to come forward and make their claims. We also said that there were quite a few prizes that were still missing their owners, and so we – like the lottery organisers themselves - encouraged players everywhere to dig out any tickets that they might have had lying around and check their lottery numbers. Now we are able to bring you news that a couple of winners have claimed their prizes, so hopefully the message is getting around…

Whilst it would have been nice to bring you details of the two winners that have come forward in recent days, no information about lottery winners can be released unless the individuals concerned opt for publicity. Unfortunately none of the winners that have recently made themselves known have yet agreed to such publicity, so we don’t know (and we wouldn’t be able to tell you if we did) who they are, what they do for a living or what they intend to do with their prize money.

What we can do is provide the basic details of the two prizes that have been claimed at the time of writing. One prize was worth £2,278,395 and this was won in the Lotto game that took place on 13 November, 2010. The winning ticket was purchased in the Bromley area.

The other notable prize that has recently been claimed was won in the very same Lotto game on 13 November, and the value of that prize was £175,261. The ticket was purchased in the Welwyn Garden City & Stevenage area, though of course it is possible that the owner of the ticket could well live elsewhere in the country.

Whoever these winners are, we offer them our heartiest congratulations, and we continue to encourage all other players to check their lottery tickets on a regular basis. Of course, if you play lottery games online then you won’t ever have to worry about the possibility of losing your tickets and missing out on prizes. Play today and you could have a go at a £12 million jackpot in the EuroMillions game on Friday and also at a £7.1 million rollover jackpot in the Lotto game this Saturday. Have fun and good luck!
