Lottery Rollover Jackpots Grow Bigger!

Lottery Rollover Jackpots Grow Bigger!

The multi-rollover jackpots in each of the midweek EuroMillions and Lotto games continued to elude players everywhere, and that has set the stage for even bigger top prizes in the draws that are coming up over the next few days. The EuroMillions jackpot this Friday 18 March is expected to be worth around £46 million, and the Lotto jackpot on Saturday 19 March has an estimated value of £23.4 million. Add in the Millionaire Maker and Lotto Millionaire Raffle games and it looks sure to be a big weekend for lottery players yet again.

The Lotto game on Wednesday 16 March offered a jackpot worth £19.9 million, but no player was able to match the six main numbers that were needed to win that sum. Those numbers were 13, 14, 31, 42, 44 and 58. Fortunately, there were plenty of consolation prizes landed at the lower levels, and the biggest of those was found at the second tier, where one ticket matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball (which was 01) to win £59,160.

There were 36 tickets that matched five main numbers only to win £1,729 each, and another 3,090 tickets won £129 each by matching four main numbers. The smallest cash prize of £25 was won by each of 81,630 tickets that matched three main numbers, and over 830,000 tickets matched two main numbers to win each of their owners a free Lucky Dip entry for Saturday’s game.

Every ticket purchased for a draw-based lottery game has exactly the same chance of winning and costs exactly the same, irrespective of how large the jackpot is, so players technically get more value for money as the jackpot in a particular game soars. When you consider that fact in the light of the estimated jackpots in the EuroMillions and Lotto games this Friday and Saturday, it is clear that value for money is currently at a particularly high level, and no doubt many players will try to make the most of the situation by purchasing themselves an additional ticket or two.

As always, it won’t be necessary for the jackpots to be landed in order for at least a couple of UK players to win big. Every ticket purchased in this country for the EuroMillions game will also be in with a chance of winning a guaranteed prize of £1 million in the Millionaire Maker draw. Similarly, every ticket entered for Saturday’s Lotto game will also have a chance of winning a £1 million Lotto Millionaire Raffle prize or one of 20 Lotto Raffle prizes worth £20,000 each.
