Irish Lottery Boasts Eight Figures
Updated: Wednesday 13th August 2014
The midweek Irish Lottery game will offer a jackpot worth eight figures for the second time in less than a week after no player was able to land the €10 million that was up for grabs last Saturday. The jackpot this evening carries an estimated value of €11 million, which is a tremendous sum when you consider the fact that the odds of succeeding are around 1 in 8,145,060. A series of 13 consecutive rollovers is responsible for bringing things to this point, so will the luck of the Irish help someone to win big this evening? We'll just have to wait and see!
There were no jackpot winners in the EuroMillions game last night. The main numbers drawn on Tuesday 27 May were 07, 13, 16, 25 and 26, and the Lucky Star numbers were 01 and 06. A second tier prize of £136,065 went to each of six players who matched all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars, and two of those players had bought their tickets here in the UK.
The third prize tier awarded the sum of £24,739 to each of 11 tickets that matched the five main numbers only, and another 62 tickets won their owners £2,194 each by matching four main numbers and both of the Lucky Stars. There were more than 2.18 million prizes won at the lower levels, and the combined value of prizes landed by players in the UK was in excess of £2.3 million. An additional prize of £1 million went to the player who matched the Millionaire Raffle number GHG710456.
EuroMillions players will now have a jackpot of around £63 million to play for this Friday 30 May, and we will take a closer look at that game tomorrow. In the meantime, aspiring multi-millionaires have the Irish Lottery jackpot of €11 million to play for tonight, as well as a midweek Lotto jackpot of around £2.2 million. Add in the chance to win a top prize of £100,000 in the Health Lottery game and 50 Lotto raffle prizes of £20,000 each and if Lady Luck wants to smile on you tonight she shouldn't have any trouble finding a way to send a pile of cash in your direction.
