Ireland Celebrates Jackpot Win
Ireland is celebrating its first EuroMillions jackpot win of the year after one ticket matched all five main numbers (16, 18, 26, 38 and 44) as well as both Lucky Stars (08 and 10) on Tuesday 1 April to land the top prize of £12,457,500. This is only the sixth EuroMillions jackpot that has been won by a ticket purchased in Ireland since the game began, so it really is a massive achievement and one that will no doubt inspire plenty of other Irish lottery players to get involved in the next game this Friday.
Four tickets matched all five of the main numbers and one of the Lucky Star numbers on Tuesday to win a consolation prize worth £169,485 each, and one of those tickets had been purchased by a player in the UK. There were no UK winners at the third tier prize level, but two tickets purchased overseas won €161,885 each by matching the five main numbers only.
The fourth tier paid £2,404 to each of 47 tickets that matched four of the main numbers and both Lucky Stars, and another 690 tickets matched four main numbers and one Lucky Star to win £143 each. More than 1.5 million prizes were won at the lower levels, and UK participants collectively won over £1.92 million. The Millionaire Raffle number on Tuesday – which was worth £1 million to the player who matched it – was MBN384155.
It is always nice to get a brand new month off to a winning start, so we are pleased that the EuroMillions game delivered last night and we congratulate the lucky player who managed to collect. The next draw this Friday just might make another player £12 million richer, and if anyone wants to play one or more of the most overdue numbers for that game, the main numbers to consider are 09, 14, 45, 11 and 29, and the most overdue Lucky Stars are 11 and 04.
Before we get to the next EuroMillions draw just mentioned, we first we have a lottery jackpot of £2.2 million to play for thanks to tonight's midweek Lotto game. There are 50 Lotto Raffle prizes of £20,000 each up for grabs too, so click here to enter the draw online and good luck!
