Health Lottery Gets a Bonus Ball!

Health Lottery Gets a Bonus Ball!

The Health Lottery game is set to introduce a brand new Bonus Ball number that will give players an even greater chance of winning a prize. The first draw under the new rules will be held this Saturday 11 May, and we think that this is a fantastic development for players, especially as there will be no change to the cost of tickets. The only difference as far as participants are concerned is that every entry will now have six ways to win a prize instead of just three!

Under the new rules, every Health Lottery draw will select five main numbers (as is currently the case) plus one more Bonus Ball number. The existing prize levels will remain intact, but additional prizes will be available to players who match four main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, three main numbers plus the Bonus Ball or two main numbers plus the Bonus Ball. The complete prize structure will be as follows:

Match 5 main numbers to win £100,000

Match 4 main numbers + Bonus to win £10,000

Match 4 main numbers to win £250

Match 3 main numbers + Bonus to win £50

Match 3 main numbers to win £20

Match 2 main numbers + Bonus to win £10

The Health Lottery isn’t the oldest game on the block by any means. The first draw took place on Saturday 8 October 2011, and initially there was just one draw each week. An additional midweek draw was introduced in October 2012, giving players another chance to win a top prize of £100,000 every Wednesday. This latest innovation is one that is sure to go down well with Health Lottery fans, and we can’t wait to see the new format in action this Saturday.

Of course, players aren’t the only ones who will benefit from the Health Lottery game getting a Bonus Ball. Tickets that are purchased for the game raise a huge amount of funding for a variety of health-related organisations across Great Britain, so if the new Bonus Ball prizes help the lottery to attract even more players, there should be even more cash available for those very worthy causes.

We will have to wait until the end of the week to see the Health Lottery Bonus Ball make its first appearance, but if you need a bit of excitement in the meantime we should point out that the EuroMillions game this Tuesday 7 May will be offering a double-rollover jackpot worth around £27 million.
