Health Lottery Adds Extra Weekly Draw
Updated: Monday 9th May 2016
The Health Lottery has added another weekly £1 draw to its schedule, allowing players to win a jackpot of up to £100,000 on a Thursday as well as in the current Saturday and Wednesday draws. The first Thursday draw will take place tomorrow night (13th August) and will coincide with a brand new draw show at 9:55pm on Channel 5, presented by former Blue Peter favourite Anthea Turner.
The Thursday Health Lottery draw will work in the same way as the Saturday and Wednesday games, with players picking five balls between one and 50 and gaining prizes ranging from £10 for matching two main numbers and the Bonus Ball up to the jackpot for matching all five numbers.
It is the biggest change to the game since 19th January 2015 when the 50p Quick Pick draw was introduced on Tuesday and Friday evenings, providing a £25,000 jackpot for half the price of a normal Health Lottery ticket. Read more about 50p Quick Pick at the dedicated page.
The Health Lottery manages a number of society lotteries who, between them, represent every area of Great Britain and take it in turns to operate the game. Each lottery raises funds for health-related good causes that are not already covered by NHS funding, and over 300,000 people have benefitted from money raised through ticket sales for the Health Lottery so far.
You can buy Health Lottery tickets online now by clicking on the Lottery Tickets tab, or get hold of your entries from any of the authorised retailers around the country. For every £1 spent on tickets, 20p is donated to Health Lottery good causes, allowing you to win big whilst helping others.Published: Wednesday 12th August 2015
