Happy New Year!
A single ticket won the Lotto jackpot of £10.25 million on Wednesday 30 December, making it a very happy new year for at least one person (possibly more than one if the ticket was purchased by a lottery syndicate). We can’t think of any better way of ending the year than with a win of more than £10 million, so we offer our congratulations to the lucky winner. As for everyone else reading these words, there is still a fantastic £24 million EuroMillions jackpot to play for this Friday 1 January, so you could see in the New Year with a National Lottery fortune of your own!
The lottery results for the Lotto draw on Wednesday 30 December were 05, 14, 27, 29, 34 and 35, and the Bonus Ball was 04. In addition to the single jackpot winner, four tickets matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to win £251,657 each and another 348 tickets matched five main numbers only to win £1,807 each. Overall, 416,171 prizes were won with a combined value of over £17 million.
The Lotto jackpot for this Saturday 2 January will now be worth around £4.4 million, which is well worth pursuing. However, before we get to that point we can first play for the much bigger EuroMillions rollover jackpot of £24 million on Friday 1 January. If you buy lottery tickets online and manage to win the EuroMillions jackpot then you would get the New Year off to the best start possible as far as your lottery activities are concerned, and it is probably no exaggeration to say that your whole life would change overnight!
We would advise readers to buy their tickets for the next EuroMillions and Lotto draws as soon as possible, otherwise you might get so caught up in the New Year celebrations that you forget about them altogether. Can you think of a worst case scenario than to discover that your numbers came up but that you also forgot to buy yourself a ticket? No, neither can we, so make sure you obtain your tickets today!
Our congratulations go to Wednesday’s Lotto jackpot winner and we wish you all the best of luck in winning yourself a big prize in the EuroMillions and Lotto games that take place over the next few days. And to everyone, without exception, have a Happy New Year!Thursday 31st December 2009
