Golden Week for Lottery Players
The week ahead will give lottery players at least four golden opportunities to win a staggering amount of money. The Tuesday EuroMillions game this week will start the ball rolling by offering a jackpot worth around £81 million thanks to a rollover in the draw held last Friday. Jackpot rollovers in the UK and Irish Lotto games last Saturday means that players will have bigger jackpots of £6 million and €11 million to pursue in the midweek games this Wednesday. And then, on Friday 31 May, one Millionaire Raffle player will win £1 million every month for a whole year!
The EuroMillions results that led to the jackpot rolling over for the eighth time in a row on Friday 24 May were 07, 17, 22, 27 and 40, and the Lucky Star numbers were 02 and 03. There were 18 tickets that matched five of the main numbers plus one Lucky Star to win £76,502 each, and 19 other tickets matched five main numbers only for a third tier prize of £24,158 each.
There were 106 tickets that matched four main numbers plus both of the Lucky Stars to win a EuroMillions consolation prize of £2,165 each, and more than 3.75 million prizes were won overall. UK players won a combined total of over £4.3 million in prize money, so if you haven’t yet checked your tickets you might want to do so now.
In the Lotto game on Saturday 25 May, the six main numbers drawn were 05, 06, 26, 30, 33 and 40, whilst the number 43 was selected as the Bonus Ball. Three tickets matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win £389,921 each, and 383 tickets won £1,908 each by matching five main numbers only. A fourth tier prize of £69 went to each of 23,064 tickets that matched four main numbers, and another 453,404 tickets matched three main numbers to win the smallest prize of £10 each.
The Irish Lotto game boasted a guaranteed jackpot of €10 million on Saturday and in the next game this Wednesday it will be worth around €11 million because no ticket matched all six main numbers. Those numbers were 10, 11, 21, 35, 37 and 42, and the Bonus Ball number was 43. Although there were no winners at either of the top two prize levels, more than 53,000 tickets won a consolation prize at one of the seven lower levels.
Whilst a trinity of jackpot rollovers might not have been ideal for lottery players last Friday and Saturday, there is no doubt that it has set the stage for an incredibly exciting week ahead. Visit this page to buy your tickets for all of the games mentioned, and if your numbers come up you could soon be enjoying your first summer as a multi-millionaire!
