Giant Jackpot for Tuesday EuroMillions
Updated: Monday 16th June 2014
The EuroMillions lottery game is always one of the most generous as far as jackpots are concerned, but the top prize will be extra special this Tuesday because official estimates predict that it will be worth a whopping £47 million. The giant jackpot comes after no player was able to match all five main numbers and both of the Lucky Stars in the most recent game on Good Friday, and that led to the fifth rollover in a row. Whether the next game this Tuesday will result in a sixth consecutive jackpot rollover or in someone landing the supersized prize that is now on offer remains to be seen.
The EuroMillions results last Friday 18 April were 21, 24, 31, 39 and 47, and the Lucky Star numbers were 03 and 07. One ticket purchased outside the UK matched all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Star numbers to win its lucky owner a prize worth €1,540,885, and eight tickets – one of which had been purchased in the UK – won £44,102 each by matching the five main numbers only. There were more than 2.43 million prizes won across all levels, and the total amount of cash landed by players in the UK exceeded £3 million. Another £1 million was won by the player matching the Millionaire Raffle number SCW650784.
Lottery players who were frustrated by the fact that the EuroMillions jackpot rolled again on Friday had another chance to win big in the Saturday Lotto game. The Lotto results on Saturday 19 April were 13, 20, 31, 34, 36 and 44, and the number 11 was drawn as the Bonus Ball. No ticket was able to match the six main numbers drawn, so the jackpot rolled over in this game too, setting things up for a £6.7 million jackpot in the next game on Wednesday.
Three Lotto tickets matched five main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball to win a second tier prize worth £141,631 each, and 172 tickets won £2,097 each by matching five main numbers only. The prize for matching four numbers – which was landed by each of 10,946 tickets – was £174, and 225,391 tickets won their owners £25 each by matching three numbers. Another 50 prizes of £20,000 each were won in the Lotto Raffle game.
No top prize winner in the Health Lottery game on Saturday meant that it was a fairly quiet weekend, but there were still more than 55,000 tickets that won a consolation prize of some kind. For those of you who haven't yet checked your tickets, the Health Lottery numbers were 01, 31, 32, 38 and 41, and the number 10 was drawn as the Bonus Ball.
All of the above means that we have a potentially massive week ahead of us, so visit this page to buy your tickets online and if you don't win £47 million on Tuesday you just might win £6.7 million on Wednesday! Good luck!
