Get Ready for Mega Jackpot Thrills!
Lottery players in the UK can look forward to some incredible mega jackpot thrills this week after rollovers were witnessed in both the EuroMillions and Lotto games in the last few days. The EuroMillions game kicks things off this Tuesday 14 May with a quadruple rollover jackpot that is expected to be worth around £42 million. Then, just 24 hours later, the midweek Lotto game will give players the chance to win a double rollover jackpot worth around £8.4 million.
The EuroMillions results on Friday 10 May were 01, 32, 35, 45 and 48, with the numbers 04 and 11 appearing as the Lucky Stars. No player matched all of those numbers, hence the rollover, and no player was able to match five main numbers and one Lucky Star, so the second-tier prize level was also unoccupied. That gave six third-tier winners a bigger than expected prize of £248,619 each for matching five main numbers only, and one of those winners had purchased their ticket in the UK.
37 tickets won £5,039 by matching four main numbers as well as both Lucky Star numbers, whilst 783 tickets matched four main numbers and one Lucky Star to land a fifth-tier prize of £208 each. UK players won a total of £3,509,578 in the main game, and one additional player won a prize of £1 million by matching the Millionaire Raffle number BPB881933.
The Lotto game on Saturday 11 May produced the main numbers 09, 12, 24, 25, 26 and 43, as well as the Bonus Ball 03. We have already established that the jackpot wasn’t won, so the biggest winners were found at the second-tier prize level, where 15 tickets matched five main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball to win £75,451 each.
There were 493 winning Lotto tickets at the third-tier level, and each of those won £1,434 by matching five main numbers only. 29,590 tickets matched four main numbers to win £52 each, and the smallest possible prize of £10 was won by each of 541,197 tickets that matched three main numbers.
The Health Lottery game on Saturday introduced a brand new Bonus Ball number as well as three new tiers of consolation prizes. The main numbers drawn were 01, 13, 36, 39 and 47, and the first ever Bonus Ball number was 40. One ticket matched all five of the main numbers to land the top prize of £100,000, whilst more than 6,000 tickets won a consolation prize of £10, £20, £50, £250 or £10,000 each.
As you can see, there were plenty of winners in the games played last Friday and Saturday, but we now have some truly mega jackpots to get excited about in the days ahead. Click here to buy your tickets for the £42 million EuroMillions game this Tuesday and may all of your numbers be lucky!
