France Wins Tuesday EuroMillions
Updated: Tuesday 8th April 2014
One player who had purchased their lottery ticket in France won the jackpot in the Tuesday EuroMillions game, almost two months to the day since the nation’s previous success on Friday 30 August. France has now seen a total of eight tickets win a EuroMillions jackpot prize or share thereof in 2013, which is one more than Portugal, four more than Belgium and five more than Spain and the UK. There are 18 draws left to go before the year ends, so Brits have plenty of time to stage a comeback. In the meantime, well done to the latest French winner!
The EuroMillions results on Tuesday 29 October were 09, 10, 30, 32 and 37, along with the Lucky Star numbers 02 and 06. Regular players may have spotted that two of those numbers – the main number 10 and the Lucky Star number 06 – had also appeared in the previous draw, so it was interesting to see them play a role in helping the French jackpot winner enrich his or her life to the tune of £12,856,500.
There were four tickets that matched all five of the main numbers as well as one Lucky Star number to win €235,100 each, but unfortunately there were no successful UK tickets at that second tier. One of three winning tickets at the third tier was bought in the UK, and won £69,565 by matching five main numbers only. Another 31 tickets won £3,366 each by matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars, and 10 of those entries had been purchased in this country.
The total number of prizes won on Tuesday night was 1,510,081, and the combined value of prizes landed in the UK was £1,579,378. Congratulations to everyone who won a slice of that cash, and also to the player who matched the Millionaire Raffle number KLM669739 to win a cool £1,000,000.
Lottery players can now look forward to the first EuroMillions game of the month offering another sleek and shiny new jackpot of around £12 million this Friday 1 November. In the meantime, the last Lotto game of the month this evening (Wednesday 30 October) will offer a jackpot of around £2.5 million and 50 Lotto Raffle prizes of £20,000 each.
