France Wins EuroMillions Jackpot

France Wins EuroMillions Jackpot

The triple rollover jackpot in the most recent EuroMillions game was scooped by a single ticket that had been purchased by a player in France. The French have already enjoyed plenty of luck in the pan-European lottery game, and this latest win has taken the number of jackpot wins in France to 77, which means that the country has been involved in 24.4% of top prize successes. The EuroMillions numbers responsible for this latest win were 02, 09, 21, 35 and 46, along with the Lucky Star numbers 02 and 11.

The final value of the jackpot landed last Friday was €40,468,528, which would have worked out at £28,675,998 had the winning ticket been purchased in the UK. As things transpired, the best that players in this country could do in the main game was win a second tier prize, and four of eight tickets that matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win £140,348 each had been entered by UK participants.

There were 14 tickets that matched the five main numbers only to win £26,732 each, whilst the fourth tier saw 48 entries win £3,898 each by matching four main numbers as well as both Lucky Stars. More than 2.25 million smaller prizes were won at the lower levels, and the total amount of consolation prize money landed by UK players was £4,324,401. In addition, the Millionaire Maker code number ZFC146042 was worth £1 million to the UK ticket bearing the same.

Both of the Lucky Stars that we previously identified as being most overdue to make an appearance were indeed drawn on Friday, so the most overdue Lucky Stars for the first game of the week on Tuesday, which will offer a brand new jackpot worth around £10 million, are now 06 and 03. The most overdue main numbers continue to be 13, 50, 39, 25 and 40.

Whilst we’re on the topic of EuroMillions, don’t forget that this Friday is the last one of the month, so it will be a Mega Friday as far as the Millionaire Maker game is concerned and ten players in the UK will be sure to win themselves £1 million each. We will take a closer look at that game closer to the time, but if you want to be certain of securing your inclusion in it you can do so by entering your numbers for the next two draws. Feel free to use our EuroMillions Number Generator if you’d like some random inspiration for your tickets, and good luck!
