France Wins EuroMillions Jackpot

France Wins EuroMillions Jackpot

A single lottery ticket that had been purchased by a player in France won the EuroMillions jackpot on Friday night, giving the nation its second jackpot-winning success in the first month of the year. The EuroMillions results on Friday 31 January were 08, 10, 15, 16 and 31, with the numbers 08 and 09 appearing as the Lucky Stars. The jackpot had rolled over in each of six previous draws leading up to Friday’s game, so the latest French winner can now look forward to claiming the very nice sum of £59,249,234.

There were two tickets that matched all five of the main numbers plus one of the Lucky Star numbers to win a second tier prize of £666,220, and the good news for Brits is that both of those tickets had been purchased right here in the UK.  Another 12 tickets won a third tier prize worth £37,012 each by matching five main numbers only, and the total number of prizes landed in the main game was 3,166,708. The winning Millionaire Raffle number on Friday night was QVG418871.

The EuroMillions jackpot win undoubtedly inspired many lottery players to have a go at landing their own life-changing prize on Saturday, and we are delighted to report that one ticket won a Lotto jackpot worth £5,710,291. The Lotto results on Saturday 1 February were 27, 34, 35, 36, 41 and 48, and the Bonus Ball number was 29.

There was one ticket that matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball just mentioned to win its owner a second tier prize worth £455,791, and 154 tickets won their owners £2,512 each by matching five main numbers only. More than 223,000 tickets picked up consolation prizes at the lower levels, and the Lotto Raffle game created 50 winners of £20,000 each.

In the Health Lottery game on Saturday, the winning numbers were 05, 12, 19, 42 and 45, and the Bonus Ball number was 30. The top prize escaped the clutches of players everywhere, but more than 11,000 consolation prizes were landed, and some of those prizes were worth as much as £10,000 each. It has been announced that players who match two balls in any Health Lottery game that takes place from 5 Feb to 1 March inclusive will win a free Quick Pick ticket for the following draw.

As always, well done to everyone who won a lottery prize last Friday and Saturday, and we wish you all the very best of luck in the games coming up in the week ahead. Click here to buy your lottery tickets online and be sure to let us know if you win big!
