Four new Lotto Millionaires
Updated: Thursday 24th April 2014
It was the Euromillions Lottery draw that got all the attention this weekend, with it’s £60 million multi-rollover jackpot; but in the event, it was the Lotto that really paid out as last night four new Lotto millionaires were created. No one matched all the winning numbers in Friday’s Euromillions draw and that rolled over, yet four players matched all six Lotto numbers last night, each collecting a £1.1 million share of the jackpot!
There was £4.6 million up for grabs in last night’s Lotto draw, just a standard Saturday night jackpot. The draw went off without a hitch and you can find the winning numbers here. Four lucky players matched all six winning numbers, each collecting £1,158,038; a life-changing amount indeed. In all over £13 million was paid out in prizes, so even for players who didn’t match the jackpot, there’s still a chance of a prize from the draw.
The Thunderball draw also took place last night, but in that draw no one matched the top prize although there was almost £2 million paid out in prizes from that draw too.
If you chose the Lotto Plus 5 option on your Lotto tickets, then you’ll need to keep them safe for a few days yet, the first of the week’s Lotto Plus 5 draws takes place tonight. The next draw for you to buy lottery tickets for in the UK is the Tuesday Euromillions, and thanks to Friday’s rollover, the jackpot for that draw is a massive £67 million.
If you prefer the Lotto then the next UK Lotto draw takes place on Wednesday, match all the numbers in that draw and you’ll be collecting a £2.4 million estimated jackpot!
Good luck, whichever of the National Lottery draws you choose to play!
