February Ends on a High Note!
The second month of the year will end on a high note, thanks to several big events that are coming up. The first is the Mega Friday Millionaire Maker draw, which is guaranteed to create five brand new millionaires and give each winner the holiday of a lifetime to South Africa as well as bespoke diamond jewellery worth £10,000. Then there is a brand new jackpot worth around £11 million to play for in the EuroMillions game itself, plus a rollover jackpot that is expected to be worth around £6.5 million in the Saturday Lotto game. Another guaranteed millionaire will be created in the Saturday Lotto Raffle draw, and 20 players will each win a Lotto Raffle prize of £20,000.
The fact that the Saturday Lotto game will offer a rollover jackpot obviously means that no player was able to match all six main numbers in the midweek game on Wednesday 24 February. Those numbers were 04, 14, 18, 19, 26 and 27, and the Bonus Ball was 25.
Five Lotto players won a second tier prize of £10,394 each by matching five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, and another 196 tickets matched five main numbers only to win £279 each. There were 7,901 entries that won £44 each by matching four main numbers, and the smallest cash prize of £25 went to each of 136,168 tickets that matched three main numbers.
The total number of prizes won in the midweek Lotto game was 1,133,276. Another 20 Lotto Raffle prizes of £20,000 each were landed, and one player won £1 million by matching the Lotto Millionaire Raffle number LIME 6762 2101.
Lottery fans who want to take some inspiration for their entries from our Lottery Statistics page will be keen to note that the most overdue Lotto numbers at the time of writing are 45, 49, 07, 24, 20 and 03. The most overdue main numbers as we head towards the Mega Friday EuroMillions draw are 07, 34, 16, 45 and 17, whilst the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 07 and 08.
February has been a fantastic month for lottery players in the UK, with two Lotto jackpots landed, one worth £32.5 million and the other worth £6.7 million. Two of three EuroMillions jackpots that were won earlier this month also went to UK players, and the top prizes in those draws were worth £24.7 million and £24.6 million, respectively.
The EuroMillions and Lotto games this Friday and Saturday will give players the chance to add even more to that tally of success before the month ends, so be sure to buy your tickets early if you intend to get involved and – if you haven’t already done so – download one of our free Lottery Apps so that you can check your results just as soon as the draws have taken place. Good luck and keep your fingers crossed for a winning weekend!Thursday 25th February 2016
