Winners Named as Jackpot Rolls
Updated: Tuesday 22nd April 2014
The EuroMillions jackpot rolled over on Friday 10 February, but we are pleased to report that the previous winners who landed a quad-rollover jackpot of £45.16 million on Tuesday 7 February have been named as Casey Carrington and Mark Topham. Casey and Mark, who live in Nottingham, are both 22 years old and engaged to be married this September. They had been planning a budget wedding before their numbers came up, but now they intend to splash out and make their big day one that is extra special in every respect. And as if all of that isn’t romantic enough, their EuroMillions win came exactly a week before Valentines Day!
Mark works as a painter and decorator, whilst Casey works at an Iceland supermarket, and the couple have been together for three-and-a-half years. On the day of their life-changing EuroMillions win both their computer and washing machine broke down. That might have been viewed as a bit of an unlucky day by most people, but then their EuroMillions lottery ticket matched all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars, giving them the luckiest day they have ever known.
As well as giving themselves the best wedding day possible in September, the couple now plan to buy an Aston Martin (Casey’s dream car) and build their ideal home. They also intend to use some of their winnings to treat their families by paying off the mortgage for Mark’s father and buying a new home for Casey’s parents. Of course, all of that will come after the couple have bought themselves a new washing machine!
We congratulate Mark and Casey on their win and wish them all the best for the future. As for the rest of us, there is a EuroMillions rollover jackpot of around £18 million to play for this Tuesday 14 February after no player managed to match all five main numbers (03, 08, 14, 31 and 41) as well as both Lucky Stars (07 and 11) in the game last Friday. Buy your lottery tickets online today and maybe you too will have something extra special to celebrate this Valentine’s Day!
