EuroMillions Triple Rollover
Updated: Monday 20th July 2015
A EuroMillions triple rollover has generated a staggering jackpot worth around £49 million for the draw to be held this Friday 17 July, 2009. Last Friday the winning EuroMillions numbers were 6, 16, 20, 42, 46 and the two Lucky Stars were 1 and 6. Although nobody managed to match all of those numbers last week, plenty of lottery players will be hoping to make up for that with a £49 million win this time around!
Whilst nobody won last Friday’s EuroMillions lottery jackpot, nine players did come very close, missing out by just one Lucky Star number. Those players won a second tier prize worth around £315,744. That’s pretty good for a consolation prize, and should enable the near-miss winners to buy a few more lottery tickets for the next EuroMillions draw.
Another 13 players matched the five main numbers only to win around £62,032 each, and with a further 1.71 million prizes won, there were plenty of smiles on the faces of EuroMillions players despite the jackpot itself proving elusive.
Of course, this week players will be wanting to scoop the £49 million EuroMillions triple rollover jackpot, not least because the win would come just in time for the summer holidays. With most children in the UK embarking on six or seven weeks of unadulterated time off in the very near future, a jackpot winner could quit work and spend a month abroad without a problem. In fact, a winner could possibly have time to buy a second or third home abroad before the kids have to go back to school in September.
For a winner who has no kids to worry about, the freedom of a EuroMillions triple rollover win would be even greater. Think about it – if you won £49 million on Friday you could make your claim straight away, quit your job on Monday morning and be jetting off to somewhere nice on Monday afternoon...Published: Monday 13th July 2009
