EuroMillions Swells for Halloween
Updated: Wednesday 9th April 2014
The EuroMillions jackpot rolled over for the eighth draw in a row last Friday, which conveniently gives us a hellishly large prize of £81 million to play for as we approach Halloween. Whether anyone will have the luck of the devil and land that sum won’t be known until after the event, but playing for the jackpot is sure to be a lot more fun than bobbing for apples! As for the Lotto game on Halloween itself, there will be a jackpot of £2.2 million to play for after two shared the top prize on Saturday.
The EuroMillions results for Friday 26 October were 05, 06, 09, 27 and 38, and the Lucky Star numbers were 05 and 11. Four tickets were able to match all five main numbers and one Lucky star number to win a second-tier prize of £388,055 each. 11 tickets won £47,037 each by matching the five main numbers only.
There were 68 winning tickets at the fourth-tier prize level, each winning £3,804 by matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars. The total number of prizes won in the EuroMillions game on Friday was 3,888,238, and that wasn’t including the £1,000,000 prize won by the ticket which matched the Millionaire Raffle number KPC796022.
In the Lotto game on Saturday 27 October, the main numbers drawn were 07, 14, 20, 30, 33 and 46, and the Bonus Ball number was 27. Two tickets matched all six main numbers to share the £4,202,718 jackpot equally, so each of those winners is now a millionaire twice over. 11 tickets won £117,558 each by matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball, and the total number of prizes won was 502,859.
Lottery players can now spend the last few days of the month hoping to turn a dash of Halloween good fortune into a big jackpot win. Will the EuroMillions game this Tuesday treat someone by giving them a pay-out of £81 million, or will players be tricked by yet another rollover?
