EuroMillions Superdraw Preview
There is less than a week to go before the March EuroMillions Superdraw takes place, and with a megajackpot of £85,000,000 up for grabs, players are getting pretty excited. It therefore makes sense to preview the Superdraw, especially since Friday 6 March also brings a new EuroMillions rule into play.
The rule we are talking about is referred to as the “Jackpot Pool Cap” and in simple terms it limits the maximum EuroMillions jackpot to €185,000,000. If the jackpot ever reaches that size (the biggest EuroMillions jackpot on record so far was €183 million) and no player matches all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars, additional prize money will be paid to winners of smaller prizes rather then to the jackpot fund for the following week.
A maximum EuroMillions jackpot of €185 million makes sense. After all, unless you are intent on world domination or building a personal space station, there isn’t much that you wouldn’t be able to afford with €185 million in the bank. At the same time, players can look forward to even bigger ‘secondary prizes’ if they happen to miss the jackpot.
But enough about that rule change, and let’s get back to the topic of the March EuroMillions Superdraw. The jackpot stands at an estimated £85 million (€100 million) and the odds of winning are the same as usual at 1 in 76,275,360. This means that this Friday’s draw is technically value for money, because you’re taking a 1 in 76,275,360 risk for a potential payoff of 85,000,000 to 1. Of course, if the megajackpot is shared then you may not technically get value in mathematical terms, but the fact remains that you would certainly become very wealthy very quickly!
There have been no EuroMillions jackpot winners for three weeks, so Superdraw players will be hoping for a change this week. If nobody wins yet again, the jackpot will roll over to create an even bigger top prize for Friday 13 March.
Ticket sales are already soaring, so get on board without delay. Buy lottery tickets online right now and this time next week you could be £85 million richer!Monday 2nd March 2009
