EuroMillions Rolls On to £79 Million
Updated: Tuesday 8th April 2014
The EuroMillions jackpot has eluded players for over three weeks now, and it just keeps on rolling, with last night’s £68.5 million prize snowballing to an estimated £79 million in the next game. The last time the jackpot was won was on Tuesday 23 July, so we think that eight consecutive rollovers is quite enough for now, and we are keeping our fingers crossed that someone will bring the top prize down this Friday. Whether or not that lucky gesture will have any effect remains to be seen!
For those of you who haven’t yet checked your numbers, the EuroMillions results for Tuesday 20 August were 05, 11, 42, 49 and 50, and the numbers 08 and 11 were drawn as the Lucky Stars. Whilst it was disappointing that no player was able to win the jackpot, there were plenty of consolation prizes landed, and we are pleased to say that tickets bought in the UK were successful at every level.
Four tickets (one purchased in the UK) matched all five main numbers plus one of the Lucky Stars to win £230,597 each, and another four tickets (including another one entered by a Brit) won a prize of £76,865 each by matching five main numbers only. There were 36 tickets that matched four main numbers as well as both Lucky Stars to win £4,270 each, and more than 2.13 million other tickets won smaller prizes at the lower levels. As always, one UK player won a completely separate prize of £1,000,000 in the Millionaire Raffle game, and the winning number last night was LDX109638.
The chance to win £79 million doesn’t come along every week, so when the opportunity arises to get your hands on anything like that kind of money it makes a lot of sense to take full advantage of it. If you like to take EuroMillions statistics into consideration when deciding which numbers to play, we can tell you that the most overdue main numbers right now are 02, 46, 06, 22 and 08, and the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 02 and 06.
Lottery players everywhere will obviously be very keen to see what happens in the EuroMillions game this Friday, but don’t forget that we here in the UK also have a midweek Lotto draw to enjoy. The estimated jackpot for tonight’s Lotto game is £2,000,000, so head this way to get involved online and this time tomorrow you just might be a double millionaire!
