EuroMillions Players Seek Big Win
EuroMillions players will be looking to win a bigger-than-standard jackpot which is expected to be worth around £16 million this Tuesday after no ticket proved able to land the £11.8 million that was available last Friday. The good news is that one UK player still became a millionaire in the most recent draw thanks to the Millionaire Maker game, and another Brit is sure to repeat that success on Tuesday, even if the jackpot in the main game rolls again.
The EuroMillions numbers that scuppered the jackpot-winning efforts of lottery players across Europe on Friday 13 May were 07, 15, 28, 31 and 42, along with the Lucky Stars 10 and 11. Whilst the jackpot itself proved elusive, six tickets fell just one Lucky Star short of succeeding at the highest level, and each of those – including two UK entries – won a second tier consolation prize worth £187,950.
A third tier prize of £18,795 went to each of 20 tickets that matched the five main numbers only, whilst another 64 tickets matched four of the main numbers and both of the Lucky Stars to win £2,936 each. More than 2.64 million consolation prizes were won overall, and UK players collectively landed more than £3.18 million in prize money. That figure doesn’t include the Millionaire Maker prize that we mentioned a few moments ago, and the winning code that gave the matching ticket a value of £1 million on Friday was ZKY577961.
None of the most overdue numbers highlighted by our EuroMillions Statistics page made an appearance on Friday, so the main numbers to look out for continue to be 18, 35, 47, 29 and 46, with 04 and 08 being the most overdue Lucky Stars. Players who would prefer to enter a completely random selection of numbers can also consider making use of our free Random Number Generator.
There has been just one EuroMillions jackpot won so far this month, so players will be keeping their fingers crossed in the hope that we will see someone else land the top prize this Tuesday. Buy your tickets early to avoid any last-minute queues and good luck with your entries!Monday 16th May 2016
