EuroMillions Offers Second Chance!

EuroMillions Offers Second Chance!

Lottery players who failed to see their jackpot-winning dreams come true in the history-making Lotto draw last Saturday night needn’t despair because the EuroMillions game this Tuesday will give Brits a second chance to win big. The jackpot in last Friday’s draw rolled over for the sixth game in a row, so the top prize this Tuesday will be worth an estimated £51 million. That’s not quite as much as the £66 million that was shared by two tickets in the Lotto game on Saturday, but it’s a substantial sum nevertheless!

The EuroMillions results on Friday 8 January, 2016, were 05, 26, 33, 35 and 40, along with the Lucky Star numbers 03 and 08. We have already established that no player won the £46 million jackpot, and we can tell you that no player won a second tier prize either. The rather more encouraging news is that six tickets matched the five main numbers needed to win a third tier prize of £286,182 each, and one of those tickets had been purchased in the UK.

There were 54 entries that matched four main numbers plus both of the Lucky Stars to win £3,974 each at the fourth prize tier, and more than 2.69 million tickets won smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers. The total amount of cash won by players in the UK exceeded £4.16 million, and that figure doesn’t include the £1 million that was won by the ticket bearing the Millionaire Maker code HXH763610.

The Lucky Star number 08 had been highlighted as one of the most overdue to appear in the previous draw, so it was good to see it actually being drawn. Our EuroMillions Statistics now tell us that the most overdue Lucky Stars for the next game are 02 and 01, whilst the most overdue main numbers are still 24, 01, 42, 47 and 28.

Lottery players will be hoping that some of the luck enjoyed by the two winners in last Saturday’s Lotto game will carry over and help someone to land the £51 million jackpot in Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw. Whatever happens in the main game, one UK player is guaranteed to win £1 million in the Millionaire Maker draw, so even if you don’t win the biggest prize of all you could still be enjoying millionaire status by the middle of the week. Enjoy the game and good luck!
