EuroMillions Mega Jackpot Looms

EuroMillions Mega Jackpot Looms
Updated: Monday 20th July 2015

A EuroMillions Mega Jackpot worth €100 million (which should be around £80 million) will be up for grabs on Friday 1 October. The last EuroMillions draw on Friday 17 September resulted in a rollover after no player managed to match all five main numbers (17, 27, 29, 38 and 50) as well as both Lucky Stars (01 and 03).  This means National Lottery players now have a £24 million rollover jackpot to play for on Friday 24 September, and if that proves elusive you can look forward to having a stab at the £80 million Mega Jackpot just one week later!

The last EuroMillions Mega Jackpot was in February and on that occasion it wasn’t won straight away but instead rolled over and was shared by two tickets in the following draw. It is anyone’s guess as to whether lottery players will have more immediate success with the EuroMillions Mega Jackpot on Friday 1 October, but we certainly wouldn’t bet against it!

Because tickets for a EuroMillions Mega Jackpot draw cost exactly the same as those for a regular draw, those who buy lottery tickets online and choose to enter their numbers for two or more consecutive draws will have a chance of winning both the £24 million rollover jackpot this Friday and the Mega Jackpot on the following Friday. And with the odds of winning any EuroMillions prize being 1 in 24 for every line of numbers entered, it is perfectly possible that you could win yourself a prize in both draws back to back!

Players who might want to include one or two ‘overdue’ EuroMillions numbers in their entries over the next few weeks will be interested to note that the main numbers which are most overdue to make an appearance are currently 48, 20, 14, 10 and 16. The most overdue Lucky Star numbers are currently 02 and 07.

The opportunity to win £80 million doesn’t come along very often, so when it does it makes sense to take full advantage of it. We suggest that you mark Friday 1 October as a red letter day, and that you make sure you buy lottery tickets online in plenty of time so that you don’t risk missing out on what could be a life-changing win.
