EuroMillions Landed in Switzerland
Updated: Tuesday 12th April 2016
The EuroMillions jackpot was landed by a single ticket in Switzerland on Friday night, giving one lucky Swiss player an incredible €93,948,087, which equates to £80,738,985. The jackpot had reached those heady heights thanks to rollovers in eight consecutive games, and the win is the third for Switzerland this year. The EuroMillions numbers that made it happen on Friday 23 August were 01, 06, 26, 30 and 37, and the Lucky Stars were 05 and 08.
There were more than 3.34 million consolation prizes won in addition to the EuroMillions jackpot. The biggest of those were at the second tier, where four tickets won £352,991 each by matching the five main numbers and one of the Lucky Star numbers. Another nine tickets matched the five main numbers only to win £52,294 each, and all of the other winning tickets won smaller prizes at the lower levels. The next EuroMillions game this Tuesday 27 August will now offer a brand new jackpot of around £12 million.
In the Lotto game on Saturday 24 August, the results were 05, 20, 26, 40, 42 and 48, and the Bonus Ball was 01. The jackpot had been estimated at £3.6 million, but when the time of the draw arrived it was actually worth £4.1 million. No ticket managed to win the top prize, but five tickets matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball number to land a second tier prize worth £252,383 each. Another 342 tickets won £2,306 each by matching five main numbers only, and 404,755 tickets matched four or three main numbers to win £89 or £10 each. The next Lotto jackpot this Wednesday will be worth an estimated £5.8 million.
Health Lottery players hadn’t won a top prize since Saturday 10 August, but the losing run was brought to a fantastic halt at the weekend when one ticket matched all five numbers. Those numbers were 07, 12, 19, 38 and 41, and the Bonus Ball number was 37. Whilst the £100,000 winner was the Health Lottery player with the biggest cause to celebrate on Saturday, other players landed more than 9,600 consolation prizes, so congratulations if you were one of them!
