EuroMillions Landed as Lotto Rolls
Updated: Thursday 10th April 2014
The EuroMillions jackpot on Friday 14 September was won by a single ticket that had been purchased in Spain, but the Lotto jackpot on Saturday rolled over. Those two facts mean that lottery players will have a new EuroMillions jackpot of around £12 million to play for this Tuesday, followed by a rollover jackpot of around £6.7 million in the Lotto game on Wednesday. Take the Millionaire Raffle prize into consideration and there is almost £20 million that could be won in the next few days alone!
In the EuroMillions game on Friday, the main numbers drawn were 03, 10, 23, 27 and 44, and the Lucky Star numbers were 07 and 09. As we said a moment ago, one ticket landed the jackpot, so one lucky player in Spain (or several players if the ticket was bought for a lottery syndicate) is now £21,511,885 richer than they were before the draw. Nine tickets won £137,753 each by matching all five main numbers and one Lucky Star.
There were 15 winning tickets at the third-tier prize level, and each of those won £27,550 by matching five main numbers only. 105 tickets matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars to win £1,967 each, and the total number of prizes won was 3,185,595. The winning Millionaire Raffle number on Friday was VJN265623.
The Lotto results on Saturday 15 September were 14, 18, 19, 35, 44 and 45, with the number 33 being drawn as the Bonus Ball. The jackpot of £4.4 million rolled over, but seven tickets matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to win £193,847 each and 354 tickets matched five main numbers only to win £2,395 each. Over 449,000 other tickets won smaller prizes of either £91 or £10 each by matching four or three main numbers.
Every week is exciting for lottery players, but having a Lotto rollover jackpot of £6.7 million to play for the day after a shiny new Tuesday EuroMillions jackpot of £12 million makes this week particularly attractive.
