EuroMillions Soars as Lotto Landed
Updated: Monday 20th July 2015
The EuroMillions jackpot soared once again on Friday after no player was able to match all seven of the numbers drawn, and the next jackpot this Tuesday is estimated to be worth a mouth-watering £69 million. The Lotto game on Saturday gave players an entirely different experience, with three tickets matching all six main numbers to share a jackpot worth £3,468,222. That makes eight Lotto jackpot winners so far this month, and we are only fractionally more than half way through. Christmas really has come early for plenty of lottery fans and there is still time for others to enjoy some festive good fortune!
The main numbers drawn in the EuroMillions game on Friday 14 December were 10, 11, 29, 40 and 43, and the two Lucky Star numbers were 03 and 11. Four players came very close to winning the £62.29 million jackpot, but they missed out by just one Lucky Star number, and that meant they had to settle for a consolation prize of £352,695 each. 16 players matched five main numbers only to win £29,391 each.
58 EuroMillions tickets matched four main numbers and both Lucky Star numbers to win a fourth-tier prize of £4,053 each, and 1,188 tickets won £173 each by matching four main numbers and one Lucky Star. There were more than 3.15 million prizes won in total, and another player here in the UK won themselves a cool £1,000,000 by matching the Millionaire Raffle number BWH661079.
The Lotto results for Saturday 15 December were 06, 19, 22, 23, 28 and 29, with the number 18 appearing as the Bonus Ball. We have already said that three tickets matched all six main numbers and that the jackpot had a final value of £3,468,222, so each of the winning tickets is now worth £1,156,074. Another 14 tickets won £76,224 each by matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, and the total number of prizes won in the Saturday Lotto game was 624,210.
There are now just two more EuroMillions and Lotto games to go before Christmas, so players who focus on those main games have just four remaining opportunities to win a jackpot before the big day. There will, of course, be a chance to win a EuroMillions jackpot on Christmas Day itself (and 25 prizes of £1 million each in the special Millionaire Raffle game) but if you have several opportunities to win yourself a fortune before then it makes a lot of sense to take advantage of them.
Guide your sledge this way to enter your numbers for the £69 million EuroMillions game on Tuesday and also for the £2.2 million Lotto game on Wednesday, and good luck!
