EuroMillions Jackpot Hits Nine Figures
Updated: Monday 7th April 2014
The EuroMillions jackpot is expected to smash through the nine-figure barrier this Tuesday 7 January, with an advertised £105 million on offer to anyone who can match all five main numbers and both of the Lucky Stars. Every ticket purchased for the game in the UK also gives the owner a shot at winning the Millionaire Raffle prize of £1 million on the same night, so it is safe to predict that demand for entries will be extremely high. Our advice is to get involved early to avoid disappointment!
EuroMillions players who were hoping to win the jackpot on Friday 3 January saw the main numbers 03, 27, 31, 38 and 44 being drawn, along with the Lucky Star numbers 03 and 08. Whilst no player could match all of those numbers, seven tickets matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star to land a second tier consolation prize worth £226,781 each. The total number of prizes won was 3,772,597 and one player in the UK is now £1,000,000 richer after matching the Millionaire Raffle number GRM543141.
The UK Lotto game had players excited on Saturday 4 January thanks to a quadruple rollover jackpot with an estimated value of over £13 million. The Lotto results were 04, 11, 18, 28, 41 and 44, with the number 08 drawn as the Bonus Ball. No player matched all six main numbers, but the jackpot isn’t permitted to roll over more than four times in a row, so it was forced to roll down instead. That meant each of 23 tickets that had matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball won a staggering £585,956 each.
There were 535 Lotto tickets that matched five main numbers only to win a third tier prize of £605 each, and over 443,000 tickets won smaller prizes by matching four or three main numbers. The Lotto Raffle game also put a smile on plenty of faces by awarding a prize of £20,000 to each of 250 winners.
In the Health Lottery game on Saturday, two tickets matched all five main numbers to win the top prize of £100,000 each. The main numbers drawn were 05, 07, 08, 24 and 28, and the Bonus Ball was 45. Consolation prizes of up to £10,000 were won by more than 13,000 tickets that matched fewer numbers.
Well done to everyone who won a prize in any of the games that we have just mentioned, and the very best of luck to those of you who will be trying to win big in the EuroMillions and Millionaire Raffle games this Tuesday.
