EuroMillions Jackpot Hits £95 Million
Updated: Tuesday 8th April 2014
The EuroMillions jackpot this Tuesday 11 June looks set to reach the dizzy heights of £95 million after no player was lucky enough to land the £80 million that was up for grabs on Friday. The jackpot has now rolled over just three times in a row, but the latest rollover occurred in a special guaranteed jackpot game, which is why the top prize will be so high for players this Tuesday. Tickets for the midweek game are already selling like hot cakes, so if you intend to participate in the £95 million draw it might be sensible to enter your numbers without delay.
Although no player won the EuroMillions jackpot, more than 4.7 million players won a consolation prize, and UK participants collectively shared over £6 million in prize money. The EuroMillions results on Friday 7 June were 07, 14, 26, 45 and 50, and the Lucky Star numbers were 02 and 07. The biggest winners were found at the second tier, where five tickets matched all five main numbers plus one Lucky Star number to secure a prize of £391,314 each.
17 tickets won £38,364 each by matching five main numbers only, and the other winners landed smaller amounts at the lower tiers by matching fewer numbers. Quite separate to the main EuroMillions game, a prize of £1 million was landed by one player who matched the Millionaire Raffle number LSH166797, so it was a pretty good night, all things considered!
The Lotto results on Saturday 8 June were 08, 09, 13, 17, 41 and 43, with the number 14 appearing as the Bonus Ball. One ticket matched all six main numbers to win the jackpot outright, giving the lucky winner an extra £3,701,093, tax free! There were 10 tickets that matched five main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball to win £113,879 each, and another 492,602 tickets matched five, four or three main numbers to win £1,779, £67 or £10 each, respectively.
A top prize winner in the Health Lottery game made the weekend complete. The main numbers drawn on Saturday were 15, 16, 26, 42 and 49, and the Bonus Ball was 47. The Bonus Ball wasn’t required by the player who matched all five main numbers to win the biggest possible prize of £100,000, but it helped quite a few players to win consolation prizes. There were more than 6,900 prize winners in total, so well done if you were one of them!
