EuroMillions Goes Quad and Lotto Triples

EuroMillions Goes Quad and Lotto Triples

This will be a week to remember for lottery players across the country, because we will have a triple rollover Lotto jackpot to play for on Wednesday 9 March, followed by a EuroMillions quad rollover jackpot this Friday 11 March. The Lotto triple rollover jackpot will be worth an estimated £17.8 million, whilst the EuroMillions quadruple rollover will weigh in at around £68 million. That means there is around £85.8 million in jackpots up for grabs in these two games alone - and UK EuroMillions players can also win £1 million in the Millionaire Raffle game. That makes this a big money week however you slice it!

The Lotto results which failed to produce a jackpot winner on Saturday 5 March were 04, 13, 23, 29, 41 and 43, and the Bonus Ball was 49. Ten players came extremely close to winning, but ended up having to console themselves with a second-tier prize of £159,340 each after matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball. Another 612 players won £1,627 each by matching five main numbers only and 672,926 prizes of £64 and £10 were won by those matching four and three main numbers, respectively.

It used to be the case that the Lotto jackpot couldn’t roll over more than three times in a row, but that rule changed just recently (on 12 February, to be precise - details are here) so if nobody wins the jackpot this Wednesday it can now roll one more time. Of course, we are all hoping that it doesn’t go that far and that someone manages to land the triple rollover jackpot in the midweek draw, but it’s nice to know that just one more rollover is possible if the situation warrants it.

The EuroMillions results last Friday 4 March were 11, 25, 27, 28 and 41, with 05 and 08 being drawn as the Lucky Star numbers. A dozen second-tier consolation prizes worth £227,826 each were won by players who matched all five main numbers but just one of the Lucky Star numbers, and 2,613,436 smaller prizes were paid out to players faring less well. The Millionaire Raffle jackpot of £1 million was won by the ticket bearing the number QMC446537.

Will you be the lucky player who lands the triple Lotto rollover jackpot of £17.8 million this Wednesday or the quad EuroMillions rollover jackpot of £68 million on Friday? The only way to find out is to buy your lottery tickets online (available here) and wait for the draws to take place. Enjoy the games and good luck!
