EuroMillions and Lotto Jackpots Won

EuroMillions and Lotto Jackpots Won

The jackpots were won in both the EuroMillions and Lotto games last Friday and Saturday, and it was a single ticket that succeeded in each case. Even better, the single ticket that won the £38 million in the EuroMillions game had been purchased right here in the UK, so that makes it five British EuroMillions jackpot wins in a row so far this year. The EuroMillions results on Friday 16 March were 03, 04, 12, 23 and 50, with the numbers 04 and 07 selected as the Lucky Stars. Another UK player won £1 million by matching the Millionaire Raffle number JHH770251.

Six EuroMillions tickets matched all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars to win a second-tier prize of £205,015 each, whilst another nine tickets won £45,558 each after matching the five main numbers only. There were 96 winning tickets at the fourth-tier prize level and each of those won £2,135 after matching four of the main numbers along with both Lucky Stars. The total number of EuroMillions prizes won last Friday was a very impressive 3,442,442, which indicates just how many tickets must have been purchased for the game to start with.

The Lotto results on Saturday 17 March were 01, 03, 16, 20, 37 and 40, and the Bonus Ball was 15. The jackpot was worth £7,104,574, so whoever owns the ticket that matched all six main numbers has plenty to celebrate. 13 other players who will be celebrating, although perhaps to a lesser degree, will be those who matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to win £110,863 each. 450 Lotto tickets won £2,001 each after matching five main numbers only and over 500,000 other tickets won either £81 or £10 each by matching four or three main numbers.

Now that the EuroMillions and Lotto jackpots have been won so convincingly it will be interesting to see if either of the recent big winners will choose to go public. If they do then we will of course bring you more details about them as and when possible, but in the meantime the jackpots have been reset so that the rest of us can have another chance of winning big. The jackpot in the EuroMillions game this Tuesday 20 March will be worth around £12 million and the Lotto jackpot on Wednesday will be worth around £2.2 million. Buy your lottery tickets online for both games and good luck with your numbers!
