EuroMillions and Lotto Jackpots Won
Updated: Thursday 24th April 2014
Both the EuroMillions and Lotto jackpots were won last Friday 13 and Saturday 14 May, each by a single ticket. The EuroMillions jackpot had rolled over from the previous Mega Jackpot draw, so the winner – who purchased their ticket in Spain – scooped a massive £105,892,179. The Lotto jackpot had also rolled over from the midweek game, and that gave the owner of the winning ticket a fortune worth £7,227,108. We congratulate both jackpot winners, and we will bring you more information on them if and when it becomes available.
Of course, there were many more lottery prizes won in the EuroMillions and Lotto games than the jackpots themselves. In the EuroMillions game on Friday 13 May, 8 players matched the five main numbers (these were 09, 11, 17, 36 and 47) and one of the two Lucky Star numbers (these were 01 and 02) to win £266,426 each. 23 players were made £30,890 richer by matching five main numbers only and 98 others matched four main numbers and two Lucky Stars to win £3,625 each. The Millionaire Raffle number, which was worth £1 million to the winner, was DTF131793.
In the Lotto game on Saturday 14 May, 14 players won £99,211 each by matching five of the six main numbers (the main numbers were 08, 18, 27, 28, 46 and 48) along with the Bonus Ball (44). 689 players matched five main numbers only to win £1,259 each. As if that wasn’t enough, 39,079 players won £48 each by matching four main numbers and another 545,736 players won £10 each for matching three main numbers.
With the jackpots having been won in both the EuroMillions and Lotto games, we now have two brand new jackpots to be won. The EuroMillions jackpot in the next draw this Tuesday 17 May will be worth around £13 million and the Lotto jackpot on Wednesday 18 May will be worth an estimated £2.4 million. Don’t forget that Lotto Plus 5 draws are also held on all non-Lotto days, giving you five chances every week of winning a jackpot worth £250,000.
