EuroMillions and Lotto Jackpots Landed!

EuroMillions and Lotto Jackpots Landed!

The jackpots in the EuroMillions and Lotto games last Friday and Saturday were both landed in great style, which means that we have a couple of pristine jackpots to play for in the midweek draws coming up. The EuroMillions jackpot was won by a single ticket that had been purchased in Portugal, whist the Lotto jackpot was shared by two tickets that matched all of the numbers required. As if all of that wasn’t enough, millions of consolation prizes were won by players who matched fewer numbers, so well done to everyone who succeeded!

The main numbers drawn in the EuroMillions game on Friday 8 March were 03, 20, 23, 28 and 42, and the Lucky Star numbers were 08 and 11. We have already established that one ticket won the jackpot outright, but what we haven’t said is how much that jackpot was worth. The answer is €51,689,985, which equates to £45,058,160 in good old sterling.

Three tickets matched five main numbers as well as one Lucky Star to take down a second-tier prize of £406,734 each, and two of those tickets had been purchased in the UK. Two of five winning tickets at the third-tier prize level had also been entered by players in the UK, and each of those won £81,346 by matching five main numbers only. 49 tickets matched four main numbers and two Lucky Stars to win £4,150 each, and there were more than 2.95 million prizes won at the lower prize levels. Meanwhile, yet another UK player won £1,000,000 by matching the Millionaire Raffle number FHC596580.

In the Lotto game on Saturday 9 March, the winning numbers were 12, 19, 25, 36, 44 and 46, and the Bonus Ball number was 18. The jackpot was worth £6,166,176 thanks to a rollover in the midweek game last Wednesday, so with two tickets matching all six main numbers there is now £3,083,088 waiting for each winner.

10 tickets matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win a second-tier prize worth £125,615 each, whilst 495 tickets matched the five main numbers only to win £1,586 each. At the lowest consolation prize levels, 27,655 tickets won £62 each by matching four main numbers and 492,943 tickets matched three main numbers to win £10 each.

The EuroMillions jackpot this Tuesday is expected to be worth around £13 million and the midweek Lotto jackpot on Wednesday should weigh in at around £2 million. Click here to enter the midweek games online and the next big winner could be you!
