Easter Jackpot for Three Winners
The Easter weekend brought a Lotto jackpot win to three lucky players on Saturday 7 April, and because the jackpot had rolled over from the midweek game there was a whopping £6,352,278 in the kitty. That gave the three winners £2,117,426 each, and although we haven’t worked out exactly how many Easter eggs that would buy, we’re fairly confident that it would be quite a few! The EuroMillions jackpot on Friday 6 April was more elusive, and no ticket landed the £27 million that was on offer, so a triple rollover jackpot of around £32 million will be up for grabs this Tuesday.
The lottery results in the Saturday Lotto game were 12, 16, 23, 25, 31 and 42, and the Bonus Ball was 18. Coincidentally, 18 tickets matched that Bonus Ball as well as five of the main numbers to win a second-tier prize of £70,191 each (even more coincidentally, add all of the digits in that prize together and you also get 18). There were 638 winning tickets at the third-tier level, and each of those won £1,237 by matching five main numbers only. Another 643,227 tickets matched four or three main numbers to win £50 or £10 each.
In the EuroMillions game on Friday 6 April, the main numbers drawn were 11, 20, 30, 35 and 45, and the Lucky Star numbers were 02 and 03. With no ticket matching all of those numbers, the best anyone could do was land a second-tier prize, and seven tickets did just that, matching the five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win £166,205 each. 13 tickets won £29,831 each by matching five main numbers only and another 50 tickets matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars to win £3,878 each. As usual, one player in the UK won a cool £1,000,000 by matching the Millionaire Raffle number, and on Friday that number was QJY725043.
Now all eyes will be on the big EuroMillions game this Tuesday 10 April, where you will have the chance of winning that triple rollover jackpot of around £32 million. Buy your lottery tickets online for that game as well as for the midweek Lotto game on Wednesday (where the jackpot will be worth around £2.2 million) and the next big winner could be you!
