Double Lottery Rollover Thrills
Updated: Wednesday 9th April 2014
Forget any talk about a triple-dip recession – let’s talk about double lottery rollover thrills instead! There are two fantastic rollover jackpots to pursue on Friday and Saturday of this week. On Friday 26 April the EuroMillions game will give us all a chance of winning a double-rollover jackpot worth around £27 million, and then on Saturday 27 April there will be a rollover jackpot of around £6 million to play for in the Lotto game.
The fact that the Lotto game this Saturday is offering a rollover jackpot obviously means that no player won the top prize (which had a final value of £1,842,395) in the midweek game. The Lotto results on Wednesday 24 April were 09, 11, 16, 17, 18 and 38, and the Bonus Ball was 47.
Six Lotto players matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number to win a consolation prize worth £94,481 each, and 244 tickets won £1,452 each by matching five main numbers without the Bonus Ball. 15,255 tickets matched four main numbers only to win a fourth-tier prize worth £51 each, and 297,050 tickets won £10 each by matching three main numbers only. The total amount of prize money landed by players was £4,669,679, which isn’t at all bad for a fairly quiet midweek draw in which the jackpot rolled over.
The top prizes in both the Health Lottery and Thunderball games also eluded players on Wednesday 24 April. The Health Lottery results were 07, 14, 22, 26 and 49, and more than 2,000 tickets won either £250 or £20 each by matching four or three of those numbers. The Thunderball results were 02, 05, 20, 33 and 36, along with the Thunderball 12, and a total of 129,923 tickets shared £731,540 in prize money.
All in all, it’s been a fairly low-key week for lottery players so far, with the biggest prize (worth £1 million) going to one player who matched the Millionaire Raffle number VMS725260 on Tuesday 23 April. That gives us every reason to think that the best is yet to come, and if you agree you can click here to buy your tickets for the £27 million EuroMillions double-rollover jackpot this Friday and also for the £6 million Lotto game on Saturday. Think big and good luck!
