Colossal Christmas Lottery Jackpots!
The next EuroMillions and Lotto draws will take place on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, respectively, and both are set to give players the chance to win colossal sums of money. The EuroMillions jackpot will be worth an estimated £18 million, whilst the Lotto jackpot is expected to be worth around £39.4 million. In addition, the Millionaire Maker game on Friday will create five brand new winners of £1 million each, and another £1 million winner will be created in Saturday’s Lotto Millionaire Raffle draw!
The £39.4 million jackpot that has been estimated for the next Lotto game obviously means that no player won the top prize in the midweek draw. The Lotto results on Wednesday 23 December were 01, 02, 04, 19, 28 and 41, and the Bonus Ball number was 32. A single ticket matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win its owner a second tier prize, and on this occasion the value of that prize was £84,957.
There were 131 tickets that matched five main numbers only, and each of those won £682 at the third tier. Another 8,748 entries won £65 each by matching four main numbers only, and a prize of £25 went to each of 182,131 tickets that won three main numbers. Over 1.45 million tickets won their owners a free Lucky Dip entry for the next game, and the winning Lotto Millionaire Raffle number was RUBY 6013 6345. The full list of Lotto Raffle numbers, which were worth £20,000 each to the players who matched them, can be found on our Lotto Results page.
With £18 million up for grabs in the EuroMillions game on Christmas Day, and £39.4 million on offer in the Lotto game on Boxing Day, many people will choose to buy lottery tickets this year as last-minute gifts. Lucky Dip entries are always useful for such occasions, but if you would prefer to see exactly which random numbers are generated before choosing whether or not to play them, our very own Random Number Generators may be even more useful.
Whatever numbers you choose to play for yourself or others over the next few days, good luck with your tickets and have a very merry Christmas!Published: Thursday 24th December 2015
