Celebrations Aplenty for Lotto Players

Celebrations Aplenty for Lotto Players

There were celebrations aplenty for lottery players last weekend. To start with, the EuroMillions double rollover jackpot last Friday 05 March was won by a single player. The jackpot was worth £41,706,216 and the winning ticket was bought outside the UK, so no details about the winner are currently available. What we do know is that plenty of British players won one or more secondary EuroMillions prizes, and somebody somewhere became £1,000,000 richer thanks to the Millionaire Raffle number, which was DKR361644. As for the Lotto jackpot on Saturday, four lucky tickets matched the six main numbers to win £1,822,869 each.

The EuroMillions lottery results last Friday were 12, 18, 19, 43 and 49, and the all-important Lucky Star numbers were 03 and 09. Eight players matched the five main numbers and one of the two Lucky Stars to win £307,737 each. Another ten players matched the five main numbers but no Lucky Stars, to win £69,865 each. Over two million other prizes ranging from £6 to £3,839 were also won. The EuroMillions jackpot has now been reset and we have £13 million to play for this Friday 12 March.

The results of the Lotto draw on Saturday 06 March were 06, 13, 27, 28, 34 and 42, and the Bonus Ball was 43. In addition to the four tickets that shared the jackpot itself, no less than 19 players matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to win £74,627 each. Another 984 players matched five of the main numbers but not the Bonus Ball, and won £900 each as a result. The Lotto jackpot for the next draw this Wednesday 10 March will be worth an estimated £2.4 million.

Whilst rollovers are always exciting, it is nice to be able to report that so many players had cause to celebrate last weekend. The world now has at least six more millionaires than it did before the most recent EuroMillions and Lotto draws took place, and even those players who only managed to win secondary prizes often emerged from the games with a serious amount of extra cash at their disposal.

Of course, if you didn’t win yourself a big prize last weekend, you’re only a matter of days away from your next opportunity. Buy lottery tickets online today and you could be enjoying your own celebrations before the week is out!
