British Ticket Scoops Biggest Prize
The EuroMillions jackpot wasn’t won by anyone in the latest game on Friday 15 May, but that’s where the disappointing news ends, because one ticket purchased in the UK scooped the entire second tier prize fund instead! The ticket in question matched the five main numbers (which were 05, 35, 42, 44 and 47) along with one of the Lucky Star numbers (which were 08 and 09) to win the life-changing sum of £1,020,652, so congratulations to the lucky player concerned!
UK tickets also did well at the lower consolation prize levels, with two of the four winning tickets at the third tier having been purchased in this country. Those tickets won £85,054 each by matching all five main numbers, and at the fourth tier 36 tickets matched four main numbers and both of the Lucky Star numbers to win £4,725 each.
The total number of tickets that won consolation prizes in the EuroMillions game last Friday was 1,921,315, and we can confirm that 525,930 of those tickets had been bought by UK participants. The total amount of prize money won by UK entries was £4,252,176, so there will be plenty of players going to work this morning with tales of lottery victory to share with their colleagues. Of course, the second tier prize winner may decide not to go to work at all today, and the same applies to the player who matched the Millionaire Maker code BWF998793 to win a cool £1 million.
EuroMillions players who didn’t win themselves as much as they had hoped for last Friday can now have another bite at the cherry by participating in the rollover jackpot game on Tuesday. The jackpot is expected to be worth around £15 million, so if you are lucky enough to match all seven numbers and you scoop that prize outright, be sure to let us know about it!
Head this way to enter your EuroMillions numbers online, and don’t forget that if you enter your numbers for the next six draws you will also be able to secure your chances in the Mega Friday draw on Friday 29 May and in the €100 Million Superdraw on Friday 5 June. Enjoy the game this Tuesday and good luck!Monday 18th May 2015
