British Player Wins EuroMillions!
Updated: Tuesday 8th April 2014
One British lottery player won a EuroMillions jackpot worth £81,381,673 on Tuesday 28 May after matching all seven of the numbers drawn. The jackpot had rolled over eight times previously, which is why it was worth so much to the player who landed it last night. We don’t know who the lucky winner is just yet, but we do know that this is only the second time that a UK player has matched all seven numbers in the EuroMillions game so far this year. The first winner of 2013 shared a jackpot worth £30.7 million with two other winners in the draw held on Tuesday 1 January.
The EuroMillions results that helped the UK to bounce back to winning ways last night were 08, 13, 26, 34 and 38, along with the Lucky Star numbers 03 and 11. There were five tickets that won £204,490 each by matching five main numbers plus one Lucky Star, and two of those tickets had also been entered by players in the UK. Eight tickets matched five main numbers only to secure a third tier prize worth £42,602 each.
The fourth tier prize level delivered a prize of £3,704 to each of 46 tickets that matched four main numbers and both of the Lucky Stars, whilst another 1,134 tickets matched four main numbers and one Lucky Star to win a prize worth £131 each. There were more than 2.43 million prizes won in the main game, and one UK player won a separate prize of £1 million by matching the Millionaire Raffle number HQV945748.
Last night was clearly a very good one for lottery players in the UK, so well done to everyone who won a prize, and especially to the lucky Brit who landed the jackpot. Those of you who didn’t win big can have another go at changing your life this evening, when the UK Lotto game will be offering a rollover jackpot of around £6 million. The Irish Lotto jackpot will be worth around €11 million.
Regardless of what happens this evening, the next EuroMillions jackpot this Friday 31 May will offer a brand new jackpot worth around £12 million, and the Millionaire Raffle game on the same night will give one lucky winner a prize of £1 million every month for a whole year!
Click here to enter your lottery numbers online and there is still every chance that you could win yourself a fortune before the end of the month. It happened for one EuroMillions player on Tuesday, so perhaps it will be your turn next. Good luck!
