Brit Wins Million Pound Consolation!

Brit Wins Million Pound Consolation!

There was no jackpot winner in the EuroMillions game last Friday 23 January, but one ticket in the UK still managed to makes its owner a millionaire by landing a second tier prize worth £1,067,104. That was the only ticket that won a prize by matching all five main numbers (which were 06, 29, 30, 38 and 45) plus one of the Lucky Star numbers (which were 01 and 08), so well done to the lucky player concerned. The next EuroMillions game this Tuesday will now offer a rollover jackpot with an estimated value of around £16 million.

There were seven tickets that matched five main numbers only to win a third tier prize of £50,814 each, and another 31 tickets won £5,737 each by matching four main numbers and both of the Lucky Star numbers. More than 2.12 million entries won smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers, and the Millionaire Maker game created another British millionaire by awarding a prize of £1,000,000 to the player who matched the code NKH258587.

The total amount of cash won by UK players in the EuroMillions game (not including the Millionaire Maker prize mentioned a moment ago) was in excess of £4 million, which isn't at all bad when you consider the fact that the jackpot was worth a fairly standard £11.2 million. With even more cash up for grabs in the next game, it will be interesting to see if participants in the UK can fare as well, or maybe even better, with the ideal outcome being a British jackpot win!

Health Lottery players saw the first ever 50p Quick Pick draw take place last Friday, and the results of that game were 04, 08, 38, 46 and 49. The next game this Tuesday will offer another top prize of £25,000, so do take a look at the Quick Pick lottery if you would appreciate the chance to win five figures from an outlay of just 50p.

Before we leave you to play whatever games appeal to you the most, we should remind you that this Friday is the last one of the month, and that means it's Mega Friday for Euro Millions players in the UK. In addition to the usual jackpot and consolation prizes in the main game, the Millionaire Maker game will create 10 winners of £1 million each. The Millionaire Maker winners will also get a first-class trip around the world, so if you want to secure your chance of winning, simply enter your Tuesday EuroMillions numbers for two consecutive draws.
