Brit Wins Fourth EuroMillions Jackpot
A ticket purchased in the UK won a EuroMillions jackpot worth £22,198,233 on Friday 2 March, which means that Brit-owned tickets have now won four EuroMillions jackpots in a row. The EuroMillions results that completed the four-in-a-row were 05, 06, 11, 30 and 44, along with the Lucky Star numbers 02 and 06. The previous jackpot winner opted to remain anonymous, but the two before that went public, so it will be interesting to see whether or not this latest winner chooses to enjoy their fifteen minutes of fame.
There were two winners at the second-tier prize level and each of those won €875,321, but there is no sterling equivalent for that prize because neither of the winners had bought their ticket in the UK. Seven tickets, including one purchased in this country, matched the five main numbers only to win £56,871 each. There were 95 tickets that matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars to win £2,095 each, and the total number of prizes won on Friday was 3,094,990. One Millionaire Raffle player won £1,000,000 after matching the number DGD218934.
In the Lotto game on Saturday 3 March the winning numbers were 07, 20, 23, 28, 31 and 40, and the Bonus Ball was 42. Three tickets shared the £4,120,260 jackpot, so each of those tickets is now worth £1,373,420. There were 19 tickets that matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win £66,724 each, and another 539 tickets won £1,470 each after matching five main numbers only. The total number of Lotto prizes won on Saturday was 583,167.
With both the EuroMillions and Lotto jackpots having been won last Friday and Saturday, lottery players can start afresh this week. The jackpot in the EuroMillions game this Tuesday 6 March will be worth around £12 million whilst the Lotto jackpot on Wednesday 7 March will be worth around £2.2 million. Buy your lottery tickets online today for both of these games and the next winning Brit could be you!
