Brit Wins EuroMillions Fortune
A lottery ticket purchased in Britain landed the £101,203,601 EuroMillions jackpot outright last Friday 7 October and we are delighted to report that the owner has already been in contact with lottery officials to make their claim. No details of the winner have been made available so we do not know if the ticket was owned by an individual player or a lottery syndicate. Whatever the case we are fairly confident that there will have been some serious celebrating taking place somewhere over the last day or two, and we will of course bring you further details about the winner(s) as and when they become available.
The main numbers drawn in the EuroMillions game last Friday were 18, 26, 34, 38 and 42, and the Lucky Star numbers were 05 and 08. Whilst the jackpot itself was eventually won by a single ticket, 15 tickets came very close by matching five main numbers plus one Lucky Star, and each of those won a second-tier prize of £116,013. Another 23 tickets won £25,220 each by matching five main numbers only and 292 tickets each won £993 for matching four main numbers plus both Lucky Stars.
The total number of EuroMillions prizes won was 4,214,510, and one other UK player won a prize of £1,000,000 by matching the Millionaire Raffle number DQJ905449. The jackpot for the next EuroMillions game this Tuesday 11 October has been reset following Friday’s result and will therefore be worth around £12 million.
Lotto jackpot-hunters didn’t fare as well on Saturday 8 October because no player matched all six main numbers (06, 16, 22, 26, 30 and 34) required to win the top prize of £6.33 million. 10 tickets matched five of the six main numbers plus the Bonus Ball (45) to win a second-tier prize of £128,813 each and another 626 players won £1,286 each by matching five main numbers only. With no Lotto jackpot winner in Saturday’s game, there will be a double rollover jackpot of around £9.3 million to play for this Wednesday 12 October.
We congratulate the big EuroMillions winner, whoever he, she or they may be, and we wish everyone the best of luck in the EuroMillions and Lotto games this Tuesday and Wednesday. Grab your tickets online today and maybe this week will be the one that changes your life forever!
