Brace Yourself for a Big Lottery Weekend!
We heard yesterday that the Lotto jackpots are set to increase in size this autumn, but players won’t have to wait until then for a chance to win a staggering amount of money because this Friday and Saturday will give players three separate opportunities to win a million or more! Friday’s EuroMillions will offer a rollover jackpot worth around £21 million and there will be a £1 million prize to be won in the Millionaire Raffle game. Then, on Saturday, the Lotto game will offer a brand new jackpot of around £4 million after the midweek jackpot was shared by two lucky winners.
The Lotto results that led to two players sharing the top prize on Wednesday 16 January 2013 were 05, 12, 13, 35, 38 and 47, and the Bonus Ball was 45. The jackpot, which had disappointed players last Saturday, was estimated to be worth around £2.2 million for last night’s game, and we are pleased to say that it reached that figure with more to spare. The final value of the midweek Lotto jackpot was £2,271,156, so each of the two winners is now £1,135,578 richer.
Five tickets won £139,763 each after matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, whilst 204 tickets matched five main numbers only to win £2,140 each. Another 264,131 tickets won smaller prizes of either £73 or £10 each by matching four or three main numbers, respectively. Well done to all of those lucky winners and we hope you enjoy your prize money to the full!
We can now look forward to the big lottery weekend we mentioned earlier, starting with a EuroMillions rollover jackpot of around £21 million this Friday. One ticket won the previous Friday EuroMillions jackpot outright, so it would be quite nice to see it landed in the same style two weeks running. If you agree, and you would like a shot at being one of the next big millionaire winners, click here to buy your tickets and good luck!
