Big Bank Holiday Weekend Jackpots
Updated: Wednesday 13th August 2014
We can’t predict what the weather will be like this coming Bank Holiday weekend, but we can tell you that lottery enthusiasts will have a very sunny time thanks to some big, big jackpots. The biggest prize on offer in the UK between now and the return to work next week is in the Friday EuroMillions game, where players will have the chance to win an estimated £48 million. Even better, if that draw or the associated Millionaire Raffle draw doesn’t make you rich beyond your wildest dreams this weekend then there are several others that could…
The Lotto game on Saturday night will offer a top prize worth around £4.3 million after two players shared the jackpot that was up for grabs in the midweek game. The Lotto results on Wednesday 21 May were 02, 05, 09, 28, 29 and 48, and the number 36 was drawn as the Bonus Ball. The jackpot was worth £1,474,574, so each of the two winners is now £737,287 richer than they were beforehand.
Three Lotto tickets matched five of the main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball to win a second tier prize worth £39,233 each, whilst another 237 tickets won £421 each by matching five main numbers only. There were 11,043 tickets that won £47 each by matching four main numbers, and the smallest prize of £25 went to each of 182,190 tickets that matched three main numbers. Another 50 players won £20,000 each in the Lotto Raffle game.
The Irish Lottery game this Saturday will offer a guaranteed jackpot of €10 million after no player succeeded in matching the six main numbers drawn midweek. Those main numbers were 05, 09, 24, 29, 31 and 42, and the Bonus Ball was 16. Three tickets matched five main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball number to secure a second tier prize worth €25,000 each, and more than 34,000 tickets won smaller prizes at the lower consolation levels.
As always, Health Lottery players will have a top prize of £100,000 to play for this weekend, and that is a good thing because no ticket succeeded in winning such a prize on Wednesday. The main numbers drawn in the midweek game were 07, 10, 27, 38 and 46, and the Bonus Ball number was 36. Although no player won the biggest prize of all, more than 3,000 tickets picked up a consolation prize of some kind.
All of the above means that lottery players have, as we said at the outset, some big Bank Holiday jackpots to pursue over the next few days. Visit this page to buy your tickets online, enjoy the long weekend and good luck!
