Belgium and Ireland Win EuroMillions!

Belgium and Ireland Win EuroMillions!
Updated: Tuesday 8th April 2014

The EuroMillions jackpot was shared by two winners last night, with one ticket in Belgium and one ticket in Ireland matching all five main numbers as well as both Lucky Stars. The jackpot had a final value of £159,559,034 and the numbers that finally brought the rollovers to an end were 04, 05, 13, 27 and 35, as well as the Lucky Star numbers 01 and 02. Our congratulations go to the owners of both winning tickets, who we suspect will now spend the summer months getting to grips with their new-found multi-millionaire status.

These latest results for Tuesday 25 June mean that Belgium has now had four jackpot winners in 2013, and Ireland has had just one. It has been quite a wait for Irish lottery players, but hopefully the winner concerned will think that a half-share of the year’s biggest jackpot will make that wait worthwhile. As for the rest of us, the EuroMillions jackpot has now been reset, so we can all have a go at winning around £12 million in the last draw of the month this Friday.

Of course, the jackpot winners weren’t the only players with reason to celebrate last night. Eight tickets matched all five of the main numbers as well as one of the Lucky Stars to win a second tier prize of £246,015 each, and two of those tickets had been purchased in the UK. There were 20 tickets that matched the five main numbers only to secure a third tier prize of £32,802 each, and the fourth tier paid £3,814 to each of 86 tickets that matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars.

The total number of prizes won in the biggest EuroMillions game of the year thus far was 5,178,161, and although UK players didn’t get a look-in as far as the jackpot was concerned, they collectively landed a whopping £7,730,837 in prize money. The Millionaire Raffle number RWR658214 gave another UK player millionaire status with the nice round sum of £1,000,000.

Well done to everyone who won a prize last night, and especially to the two jackpot winners. For those of you who didn’t win a prize, there is a very handy Lotto jackpot of around £2 million up for grabs in the midweek game this evening (Wednesday 26 June) so head this way to buy tickets online and it could be your turn next!
