Bank Holiday Lottery Bonanza!

Bank Holiday Lottery Bonanza!
Updated: Thursday 25th August 2016

The August Bank Holiday weekend is fast approaching, and whilst we can’t guarantee what the weather will be like, we can confirm that there will be plenty of big-money lottery excitement to make players feel hot under the collar. The combination of a Mega Friday EuroMillions event on Friday, and a triple rollover jackpot in the Lotto game on Saturday, should give lottery fans plenty of chances to emerge from the Bank Holiday with a smile on their face and a far heftier bank balance!

The EuroMillions jackpot on Friday will be worth around £20,000,000, and that is thanks to the first draw of the week resulting in a rollover. As if that wasn’t enough to make participation in the game worthwhile, five players in the UK are each guaranteed to win £1,000,000 and a dream holiday to Brazil in this month’s Mega Friday Millionaire Maker draw.

This is the last Mega Friday draw that will take place before the new EuroMillions format comes into force, so get involved and you could soon be celebrating your new-found millionaire status in Rio. For players who want to include one or more of the most overdue numbers on their tickets, the ones that are currently highlighted on our EuroMillions Statistics page are 47, 20, 04, 09 and 30, along with the Lucky Star numbers 01 and 03.

However you fare on Friday, the Lotto game on Saturday will give you several other chances of adding multiple zeros to your bank balance. Three consecutive rollovers means that the jackpot in the main Lotto game will be worth an estimated £12,500,000, and the most overdue numbers as we approach that draw are 05, 06, 44, 23, 07 and 48.

In addition to the main Lotto jackpot, every ticket purchased by players will also give them a chance of winning a Millionaire Raffle prize of £1,000,000, 20 Lotto Raffle prizes of £20,000 each, and 67 extra prizes worth £50,000, £100,000 or £1,000,000 each.

With so much cash up for grabs, demand for tickets is certain to be higher than normal, so do be sure to buy your entries in plenty of time. With that, have a great Bank Holiday weekend and good luck with your numbers!
