Austria Wins EuroMillions Jackpot
A single ticket that had been purchased in Austria gave the nation its thirteenth taste of EuroMillions jackpot success since the game began by matching all seven of the numbers that were drawn on Tuesday 25 August. Those numbers were 27, 31, 33, 42 and 50, along with the Lucky Star numbers 02 and 05, and the final value of the prize won by the lucky citizen of Österreich was €30,507,122, which would have been worth £22,297,655 had a British player won.
Two tickets matched all five main numbers as well as one of the Lucky Stars to win a second tier prize worth €489,052, and we quote that figure in euros because neither of the winners had purchased their winning entry in this country. The good news is that one of two tickets that matched five main numbers only had been bought by a UK player, giving its owner a third tier prize of £124,917.
There were 32 tickets that won £3,903 each by matching four main numbers as well as both of the Lucky Stars, and more than 1.5 million entries won smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers. The total amount of cash won by participants in the UK was £2,085,015, and another prize of £1,000,000 was won by the UK player who matched the Millionaire Raffle code LHM948730.
The next EuroMillions game this Friday will offer a brand new jackpot worth an estimated £10 million. This Friday also happens to be the last one of the month, which means that it will be a Mega Friday and the Millionaire Raffle game will create ten guaranteed winners of £1 million each instead of just one.
We will preview Friday’s EuroMillions game tomorrow, but first we should draw your attention to the fact that tonight’s midweek Lotto game will offer a rollover jackpot which is expected to be worth around £4.3 million. The most overdue numbers as we head into that game are 11, 09, 34, 43, 37 and 13, so do look out for those and good luck with your entries!Wednesday 26th August 2015
