Appeal for Missing Millionaire

Appeal for Missing Millionaire

Lottery officials are appealing for a missing millionaire to make themselves known after a Lotto jackpot winner who won more than £3 million on Saturday 31 October has so far failed to make their claim. The ticket for the Halloween draw was purchased in the Worthing Area, and the winning numbers were 12, 18, 26, 35, 40 and 44. The exact value of the jackpot prize was £3,204,588.

The fact that the Lotto draw in question took place on Halloween means that there are a number of possible reasons why the jackpot winner has not yet come forward. The most obvious is that they have not yet checked the lottery results, and anyone who purchased a ticket in Worthing for the draw on Saturday 31 October (including syndicate organisers) should double-check their numbers without delay.

Another possibility is that the lottery winner has misplaced their ticket. Halloween is a popular time for parties across the whole of the UK, and it could be that the winning ticket is hiding in the pocket of a costume, coat or handbag. Can you remember what you were wearing on Halloween? Does it have pockets? If the answer is yes and you live or have passed through Worthing in recent weeks then it might well be worth taking a look to see if you can’t find that winning ticket!

A third theory is that the winning ticket holder has completely forgotten about their ticket. Maybe their entry for the 31 October draw was made in advance (Lotto players can buy tickets for a whole series of draws) in which case they might have bought their ticket well before the end of October.

If the winner had followed the advice that we always give here – which is to buy lottery tickets online – then they would have already been identified and notified of their win. In fact, they would probably have their £3 million cash in the bank and already be enjoying their new-found wealth. As it is, they seem to be quite unaware of the success they have achieved.

Hopefully the winner will soon discover his or her Lotto jackpot achievement and come forward to claim their prize. In the meantime, the rest of us can play for a EuroMillions jackpot of £13 million this Friday and also for a Lotto jackpot of £4.6 million on Saturday. Good luck!
